You don’t need to understand precisely what Digital signal processing is about; it is enough to remember it involves computations and predictions about future behaviour of signal, using the available quantitative data (which is, again, about the signal). There’s no business context here.

Then, what also matters is the way the term data science has been used today. It involves the business aspect of things, while digital signal processing, although using the same tools, does not involve decisions reflecting the business aspect of a company.
In other words, it is all matter of how these terms are being applied today.
