Answer for The Sum() function in Tableau

Hi Nithin, 

thanks for reaching out! 

We need the SUM to calculate the entire Revenue and Gross profit for each month. 

Although the values in the table we’re displaying are an aggregate for each month for each of the years 2016 and 2017, the actual Revenue and Gross profit variables are not. That’s why we need the extra step and use SUM.
