Our data set contains information about 5 brands and it’s why we’re focusing on examining a total of 5 different brands. Of course, if you have other data, you’re welcome to analyse more brands. The techniques from the course can be expanded and applied to handle additional brands. 

In customer analytics the own brand is always the most important. And though competitors have a role to play and we examine it during the course (with cross price elasticity), at the end of the day it’s the company’s own product which matters most. That’s why we can examine larger sets with a larger number of brands.
