Can you please support your quesiton with more information? I.e. what operating system are you using? 

Also, if you are a Mac User, are you using homebrew for the installation, as suggested in the course.

In any case, please make sure not to have any traces from previously installed MySQL components, the MySQL server included. This disrupts the installation process.
